I. Theme
Taking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore as an opportunity, with the celebration as the stage, and with cultural and economic exchanges as the content, we will promote the integrated development of China-Singapore economy and culture, implement the specific work of the two countries’ all-round, high-quality and forward-looking partnership, and create the next golden thirty years of Asia-Pacific development. We will hold a series of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore – “New” Stories – Manuscript Collection Activity

II. Activity Content
Based on the experiences and feelings of people and events in the development of exchanges between China and Singapore since the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, we encourage participants to write real, touching and creative records around topics such as work, growth, economic construction, and personal feelings of struggle.

(I) Participants
This event is open to the whole society and has no age limit. Professional writers, literature enthusiasts, and ordinary citizens, as long as they love writing, can submit their works.
(II) Manuscript requirements:
1. The style is not limited, both Chinese and English are acceptable.
2. The manuscript must be original and must not be plagiarized or modified.
3. The content of the manuscript must be positive and convey positive energy.
4. The number of words in the manuscript should be within 1000-3000 words.
5. Please attach the author’s name, contact information and brief creative experience at the end of the manuscript.
After selection and editing, the outstanding works will be compiled into a book and published and distributed, and presented to the China-Singapore National Archives and Library, as well as relevant individuals and institutions as a gift for the 35th anniversary. At that time, awards and distribution activities and outstanding works symposiums and exchanges will be held.

III. Event Process
The event will be promoted and publicized through various channels such as the official website, Xinhua News Agency, and social media platforms, and will be launched through a press conference and commissioned to attract more literary enthusiasts to participate. Well-known writers, literary critics and other well-known professionals in the industry will be invited to serve as members of the jury to ensure the professionalism and fairness of the event.
1. Registration and Collection Stage (March 15-August 15): Participants must submit registration information, submissions or commissioned works through the official website or mini program, including name, contact information and a brief self-introduction. Successful participants must submit their own manuscripts within the specified time. The works must be original. The manuscript requirements are as above.
2. Selection and Publicity Stage (August 15-October 15): The works will be selected by the expert review group for the preliminary shortlisted works. During the editing period, professionals will be invited to write prefaces, and the selected excellent works will be selected and edited into a book.
3. Awarding, essay solicitation and publication stage (November 10-December 10): It is planned to hold an awarding and book publishing conference at the end of the year and publish the book. The book will be edited as a gift to celebrate the establishment of diplomatic relations, presented to the China-Singapore National Library, institutions and relevant persons, incorporated into the national data library and published.
1) The winning articles as professional historical materials will be compiled into a book;
2) The essays on the feelings of young people will not be included in the historical materials, but will be compiled and compiled into a book separately. For excellent works, they can be presented through speeches;

IV. Award Setting
1) Select the winning works and issue certificates of honor and trophies.
2) Set up the “Youth Works” award and issue certificates of honor and trophies.
3) The winners will give speeches and hold discussions at the award ceremony.

V. Organizers
Xinhua News Agency and the Singapore-China Friendship Association will form the “35th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Singapore: Stories from Singapore and China” Working Group.

VI. Experts on the Jury
Xinhua News Agency is expected to select one or two experts, and the preparatory working group is expected to invite well-known and influential scholars in Singapore and China, including former editor-in-chief of Singapore Lianhe Zaobao Cheng Hantong, director of the China Department of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore Gu Qingyang, director of the Chinese Museum at Nanyang Technological University You Junhao, professor and director of the translation course of the School of Humanities at Nanyang Technological University Cui Feng, chief reporter of Xinhua News Agency Singapore Branch Cai Shuya, and professor of the School of Foreign Languages ​​of Communication University of China Xiang Li to form the expert jury to complete the selection work.
