China Wuhan-Singapore economic and trade cooperation and exchange activities launched

Xinhua Silk Road Singapore, January 10 (Reporter Liu Chuntao) The China Wuhan-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange Event kicked off simultaneously in Wuhan, China and Singapore on January 8. The event, with the theme of “Challenges of Breaking the Ice in Industries and Opportunities in Singapore”, is committed to becoming a new bridge connecting Wuhan and Singapore’s economic and trade cooperation, and opening a new chapter for the global layout of enterprises on both sides.

During the event, the unveiling ceremony of the “Global Economic and Trade Center” for Wuhan’s overseas enterprises was held simultaneously at the Singapore venue and the Wuhan venue. The center was jointly established by the Singapore-China Economic, Trade, Science, Culture and Education Exchange Association, the Wuhan Branch of the China Quality Certification Center, and the Wuhan Huicai Mingbo Economic and Technical Information Research Institute. The center aims to build a high-end dialogue platform, bringing together government representatives, business leaders, experts and scholars, and industry elites to jointly study how to deepen China-Singapore cooperation, jointly meet challenges, and share development opportunities under the new changes in the global economy.

Zeng Shisheng, former Minister of State of the Singaporean government and the first president of Suzhou Industrial Park, said at the Singapore venue that for Chinese companies that want to enter the Southeast Asian market, Singapore will continue to assist companies to establish connections with target markets and achieve resource integration and win-win cooperation.

Qi Kuisen, executive president of the Singapore-China Economic, Trade, Science, Technology, Culture and Education Exchange Association, said that the association will actively assist all parties to work together, guide companies to enter the international track, and rationally layout overseas markets. Relying on the “Global Economic and Trade Center”, give full play to the role of bridges and ties, and actively promote economic and trade exchanges, technical exchanges, cultural integration and cross-border cooperation in various fields between Wuhan, China and Singapore.

Wei Ping, director of Wuhan Huicai Mingbo Economic and Technical Information Research Institute, said that Wuhan will strengthen its linkage with Singapore, especially in-depth cooperation in economic and trade exchanges with Singapore. In the future, the institute will accelerate the implementation of various matters with Singapore.

The Singapore branch of the Quality Service Station of Wuhan Branch of China Quality Certification Center was unveiled simultaneously at the Singapore venue and the Wuhan venue. This is the first time that the Wuhan Quality Service Station has gone abroad. The Singapore branch of the Quality Service Station will cooperate with Singapore in more fields and at a deeper level, especially in exploring new cooperation models in the overseas expansion of Wuhan brands and Wuhan quality services.

This event was guided by the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Wuhan Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, and Wuhan Small and Medium Enterprise Development Promotion Center, and was co-organized by the Singapore-China Economic and Trade Science and Technology Culture and Education Exchange Association, Wuhan Branch of China Quality Certification Center, Wuhan Huicai Mingbo Economic and Technical Information Research Institute, Wuhan Alumni Association of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Singapore Poseidon International Capital Group. China Certification and Inspection Group Singapore Co., Ltd., Tsinghua University Singapore Alumni Association, Shanghai Jiaotong University Hubei Alumni Association, Wuhan Cross-border E-commerce Association, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone Human Resources Service Industry Association, and Huanyu Podcast Camp (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd. and other companies and institutions undertook the task of co-organizing.
